As a Quality Engineer at Schmitz Foam, you will play a key role in enhancing and expanding our quality management system to meet the IATF 16949 standard. You will be responsible for implementing the requirements of this standard and ensuring its compliance within the organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Expand the existing ISO 9001 system to IATF 16949
- Implement and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements
- Initiate and monitor quality improvement projects
- Support internal and external audits
- Analyze quality data and identify trends
- Train colleagues on quality aspects and standards
- Report progress and results to the Quality Manager

Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Quality Engineer with a strong understanding of IATF 16949. You have a proven track record in implementing and maintaining quality management systems and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You are a team player with a pragmatic approach and strong communication skills.
- HBO work and thinking level with a relevant technical degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience with Six Sigma, Green Belt certification is a plus
- Experience with quality management systems and improvement projects
- Experience in guiding audit processes
- Demonstrable experience with the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard
- Strong analytical skills and a pragmatic, hands-on mentality
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, German is a plus
