Facility Lead Life Sciences & Healthcare

Your Responsibilities

• Implement Facility policies to ensure efficient and effective support services, staying within budget and maintaining operational installations
• Prepare, advise on, and implement proposals to improve facility services, incorporating sustainability ('GoGreen'), safety, best practices, and standardization initiatives
• Optimize the deployment, development, and work environment of the team you lead and coach
• Manage and maintain buildings, grounds, and installations
• Manage and optimize on-site security, adapting to changing circumstances
• Coordinate initiated audits (internal/external) at the sites and ensure follow-up
• Identify problems, risks, and bottlenecks in work processes and ensure their resolution and risk mitigation
• Coordinate procurement/tender processes, contractual agreements, and evaluations of existing and future suppliers

We are seeking a professional, proactive, and flexible individual with strong technical knowledge in facility and building management. You are a persuasive and strong communicator, able to collaborate effectively with senior management and operational teams. You are comfortable taking a firm stance when necessary, possess a keen eye for detail, and maintain a helicopter view of the bigger picture. Physical presence at the LSHC sites in Nijmegen is essential for this role. Contractual knowledge of tenant and landlord aspects, as well as experience with construction and large-scale renovation projects, are required for this position.

• HBO work and thinking level with extensive experience in a similar role
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Technical knowledge, experience, and insight to assess quotes and provide well-founded advice
• Leadership skills in relation to managing a team
• Negotiation skills for making price agreements with suppliers
• Analytical skills and financial experience in preparing, managing, monitoring, and discussing budgets
